Expression of Interest: Psychological Therapies in Western Downs

Darling Downs and West Moreton Primary Health Network, in partnership with CheckUP, invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) to deliver psychological therapies services in the Western Downs region (with a key focus on communities in Chinchilla, Miles and Tara). This EOI is open to suitably qualified and experienced practitioner-led providers where the clinician/s holds primary clinical responsibility for service delivery.  

This service is commissioned under the Commonwealth PHN program for psychological therapies provided to underserviced groups, consistent with the PHN Primary Mental Health Care Guidance – Psychological Therapies Provided by Mental Health Professionals to Underserviced Groups (Department of Health, 2021). 

This opportunity is for the period of October 2026 to 30 June 2027. Expression of Interest closes at 11:59pm on Wednesday, 9 September 2026.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Study Grant

Supporting your future career in health! Darling Downs and West Moreton PHN
together with TAFE Queensland are seeking new students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander to apply for a $5000 grant to contribute towards their studies during 2026.

Eligibility:

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander. 
  • Be an enrolled TAFE Toowoomba student studying a health-related course.
  • Maintain ongoing residency in the Darling
  • Downs and West Moreton PHN region.
  • Demonstrate commitment to your studies for the duration of the course.
  • Maintain compliance with all the criteria set out in the terms and conditions.
