SearchCommissioning Update May 2024
In October 2022, our CEO, Lucille Chalmers, held a briefing session to introduce our service providers to some of the new ways we are commissioning to ensure we can provide equitable, effective and sustainable healthcare services to meet the needs of our community.
Over the last eighteen months, we have continued to analyse the care provision in our region and assess emerging guidance and innovative models of care. This has included sources such as the Fifth National Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Plan, which highlights the need for better integrated and coordinated mental health, suicide prevention, and alcohol and other drugs service systems.
Improving and adapting our services and how we work together to remain effective and integrated is a shared journey, equally important to us all.
We held a follow up Commissioning Update 2024 briefing on Friday 31 May 2024 to share with providers where we are on our current journey and where we would like to head, with a shared vision that we can work together to shape and accomplish, to ensure our collective objective of providing better patient care closer to home may be met.
