Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Regional Approach to Suicide Prevention

Provided by Carbal Medical Centre

The Reach Out and Recover (ROaR) service provides culturally appropriate suicide prevention support to residents within the service area, coordinated by an Aboriginal Health Worker (AHW) or an Aboriginal individual with mental health qualifications. This service connects clients with a range of internal and external resources, including the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) and Alcohol and Other Drugs Services (AODS) teams, to enhance overall wellbeing and facilitate early identification of individuals at risk of suicide in the region.
