Access and Equity Opportunities Across the Region

Access and Equity activities aim to improve access to services and resources to increase or maintain health status and achieve equitable outcomes for people who experience health disadvantage (Priority Populations). Rural and remote communities have limited access to options that would allow them to attend health services, and with a higher representation of marginalised and disadvanted people therefore have increased difficulty achieving good health and wellbeing outcomes.

Meditrans services support Goondiwindi residents to attend secondary health care appointments and services in the DDHHS region. This includes residents of the cross-border towns of Boggabilla and Toomelah (NSW) accessing this service.
